Apart from the lush green and dense Bakor forest, which is home to the beautiful waterfalls, the village is also known for its Kaleshwari Temple that gives you a glimpse of the architectural marvel from the past.  The Kaleshwari Group or Monuments consists of a water reservoir, two gigantic tepwells, and several other sacred statues that are magnificently sculpted with detailed carvings.

The Kaleshwari Group of Structures was built between the 10th and 16th centuries B.C., and some of the monuments were later rebuilt in the 18th century B.C. The Pandavas are said to have built the temple, which is dedicated to Goddess Kaleshwari. This temple was rebuilt in 1547 by the king of the Lunawada kingdom. Another king, Vakhatsinhji, renovated this temple from 1735 to 1757. The square kund is a unique antique building in this group of architecture. There are steps in the kund to get to the water. The ruler of the Lunawada state constructed a Shikarmadhi (a room built to relax the king when he came here for hunting) (Lunawada was considered a state at the time). On the walls of Shikarmadhi, there are architectures of dancing Ganesha, Mahishmardini, Vishnu, Chamunda, and Darpan Kanya.

A short distance from these two temples is another temple with an open door and what appears to be two large feet of residue. It is commonly referred to as Bhim and Hidimba’s feet.

The Kaleshwari Group of Monuments serves as the primary setting for a number of major events, including yearly tribal fairs such as Maha Shivratri and Janmashtami. During this auspicious event, a significant number of local inhabitants as well as foreigners from all over the world flock to this location.  Visitors from all around the world can see tribal dances and folk music performed by professional performers from Gujarat and other parts of India.
